'Love yourself' is easy to say and hard to act on, especially if you've spent years being your own harshest critic. Self-love here isn't about thinking you're perfect. It's about treating yourself with the ordinary care you'd give someone you love.

This workbook makes that practical. Each worksheet covers one part of it, from how you talk to yourself to how you spend your time and who gets your energy.

What's inside, in order

  1. Step 1

    Self-Love Worksheet

Start by looking honestly at how you treat yourself, and the needs you keep putting last.

  2. Step 2

    Self-Compassion Worksheet

Learn to answer yourself kindly when things go wrong, which is where self-love is tested most.

  3. Step 3

    Self-Care Worksheet

Turn care into a small, realistic plan for ordinary days, without spending money.

  4. Step 4

    Boundaries Worksheet

Protect what you've started: decide where your limits are and how to say them.

  5. Step 5

    Gratitude Journal Prompts

End on noticing what's good in your days, including the good in you.

How to use this workbook

  • Go in order the first time, then return to whichever page you need most.
  • If a kind phrase feels fake, change the words until it sounds like you.
  • Pick one small action from each worksheet rather than trying to change everything.
  • Come back to it on a hard day. That's when it's most useful.

Questions people ask

Is this self-love workbook free?

Yes. The PDF is free to download and print, with no email or sign-up. Each worksheet in it is also free to fill in online on its own page.

What's the difference between self-love and self-compassion?

They overlap. Self-compassion is the specific skill of being kind to yourself when you're struggling. Self-love is broader: how you treat yourself day to day, including care, boundaries and what you allow from others.

Is self-love selfish?

No. Looking after yourself usually makes it easier to be patient and present with other people, not harder. The boundaries pages in this workbook help when guilt gets in the way.

Can I fill in the self-love workbook online?

The workbook PDF is made for printing, so it isn't a fillable form. To type your answers, open each worksheet on its own page, where your answers save in your browser.

Is this a substitute for therapy?

No. It's a self-reflection tool. If you're struggling with low mood, anxiety or your safety, please talk to your GP or a qualified therapist.
