Privacy notice

Last updated 4 October 2026

The short version: you can use every worksheet without giving us anything. If you type answers without an account, they stay in your browser and we never see them. If you create a free account, we keep your email address and the answers you save, only to sync them to your other devices. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.

Who we are

This site is Self Growth (selfgrowth.org). For anything about your data, email hello@selfgrowth.org.

Using the site without an account

  • Your answers stay on your device. When you fill in a worksheet, your answers are saved in your browser's own storage on that device. They are not sent to us. Clear them any time from My worksheets or by clearing your browser data.
  • PDFs and printing need nothing from you.

If you create a free account

An account is optional. If you choose one, we keep:

  • your email address, and when you first confirmed it;
  • the worksheet answers and Wheel of Life scores you save, with the time each was last changed, so they can sync across your devices;
  • whether you've turned reminder emails off, and when we last sent you one.

We use this only to sign you in, sync your answers, and send the emails described below.

Emails we send

  • Sign-in links. When you ask to sign in we email you a one-time link. It expires after 24 hours.
  • One reminder about unfinished work. If you're signed in and leave a worksheet unfinished for a few days, we may send one short reminder, and never more than one every 14 days. Turn these off with the link in the email or on your account page.
  • The newsletter, only if you sign up for it. We keep your email address on our mailing list, send a welcome note, and then only an occasional email. To stop, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or email us. The newsletter list is separate from accounts: deleting your account doesn't remove you from it, so unsubscribe too if you want both gone.

Measuring how the site is used

We use Google Analytics and Plausible Analytics to understand which pages help people and how they found us. They record things like the pages you visit, the site or search engine you came from, your device and browser type, and your approximate country. We also count a few actions, such as downloading a PDF, printing, starting a worksheet, signing in or subscribing. We never send your answers or your email address to either service.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. If you're in the UK, the EU, the wider EEA or Switzerland, we've set it not to use analytics cookies: it sends only limited, cookieless signals that Google turns into overall estimates. We switch off Google's advertising features everywhere. Plausible does not use cookies. You can block both with your browser's privacy settings or a content blocker, and the site works the same without them.

Who helps us run the site

These services process data for us, only to provide their service. Most are based in the United States, so your data may be handled there.

  • Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, it keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability.
  • Turso stores account data and saved answers.
  • Resend sends our emails and holds the newsletter list.
  • Cloudflare runs our domain's DNS and forwards email sent to hello@selfgrowth.org.
  • Google Analytics and Plausible for the measurement described above.

How long we keep things

  • Account data and saved answers: until you delete your account.
  • Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe.
  • Answers saved in your browser: until you clear them.

Your choices

  • Delete your account any time from your account page. This permanently removes your account and every answer saved to it, straight away.
  • Turn reminder emails off from your account page or the link in any reminder.
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any newsletter, or email us.
  • Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing hello@selfgrowth.org.

Children

Accounts and the newsletter aren't meant for children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has given us their email address, tell us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this notice

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
